pitman arm Blues!

I'm in a pinch.
I need to remove a pitman arm Again for a Second Time that I Already removed a few weeks ago.
The trouble is, this time round has been way harder!.
Lots of heat from torch, using same puller as last time, but no budging. Plenty of PB too...
My current plan is to find a better puller.
Any suggestions?
(I greased the sector shaft and then used too much torque upon reinstallation)

Hit the mount as hard as you can with a BFH and it will drop right off. I have never used a puller,
and I rebuilt front ends for a living.

I usually have good results with the 2 hammer method.

Hold the bigger hammer against one side of the tapered boss, hit the other side with the other hammer.

Helps to pry at the same time if possible.

Leave the nut on but loose, that protects the threads and contains the movement when it does break loose.

I agree with Steve......I've used this method with good results.....if you don't put a backup hammer on the back side you are likely to damage something.
