y 414 has an int 1550 loader on it so how many lbs should this loader lift..I know it does not seem very strong,,THNKS

We had that tractor and loader on the farm for many years, did a lot of work cleaning barns, moving materials, even broke the front wheel spindles several times on the tractor as it would lift a lot. My brother even used it to excavate for his house foundation?took him all summer.

Hi, 1550 had double acting cylinders(up and down pressure), 1501 had single acting cylinders(up pressure only) both had single bucket cylinder. We had both loaders, 1501 on IH 434 and 1550 on IH 384. Both loaders would lift enough to lift the rear wheels off the ground even though the rear tires were calcium filled. If we were loading something heavy, we would put the back blade on the 3pt for added weight. Never broke a front spindle but changed many front wheel bearings.

Yes single on the bucket This loader will not lift anywhere near what you guys tell me..What do I look for..

Sorry but made a bad mistake on my description..The loader is a 1501 and has uplift only no down pressure...Again sorry

The 1501 was basically a manure loader, not real heavy duty. A better choice for general use would be the 2000, But I have never seen one on a 414. You would have to ask around to make sure it would fit. You would also have to do something to the valve so you can have down pressure on the boom.

Might be how it is plumbed and if you have the valves right.

Only 1501 I ran used the 3pt lever to raise the boom and you had to have the valve under the seat set right so full flow went to loader. Trip bucket so only single acting cyls
