Kubota update

Went to look at the little Kubota last night. Turns out it is a B6000. 2 cylinder diesel, 4x4 with loader. PTO does turn counter clockwise but I don't really care about that as much. I have a Ford 600 with a bush hog for mowing and other implements. Mainly want it for the 4x4 and loader so my daughter can clean out her horse stalls. Doesn't have a very big bucket but it beats the heck out of wheel barrow with a steel wheel. Tractor Data shows 13 horsepower, has a high and low gear transmission and you can put it in and out of 4x4. Seems to run ok. Blows some gray smoke. I am thinking dirty fuel filter or injectors. Has been setting outside ever since he has had it so the paint is faded and the hood has a few dents in it. I believe it is a 1977 model. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Been around a smaller B5 something about that era, no live PTO of course, but is the loader live?

I could see that be a pain if it stopped working when clutched.

77 would be the last year/ They actually were here before KUBOTA came to US as a company. NO POWER steering makes the loader in close places almost us useless. As you say better than a wheelbarrow but me I would wait till I could find something a little newer. B 6200 would be the next model but try and find something like a B 1550 /B1750 they were tough tractors.

My B1750HST, PS/Bi-Speed Turn, bought new in 1993, has proven to be the best major purchase of my lifetime.
