Home made implements... The Coultas Plownter

Was at a nice little museum here in central IL today and saw this picture on the wall of old ag equipment, and I have no idea what I am looking at. Looks like two Allis Chalmers WDs/45s hooked together, pulling a combination plow/planter (with A/C on the support bar). Thought I'd share and see what ya'll thought.

Photo caption reads:

"Coultas Plownter -- a machine invented by Bob and Dick Coultas in the early 1950s"

Quite a bit of farmer ingenuity going on there. Looks like a WD is hitched/attached to a D-Series tractor (I would guess either a D17 or D15), since no front tires or tricycle wheel print is noticeable in the picture. They are pulling what looks like a 5 or 6 bottom plow that was converted to a 3? bottom lister planter.
