Case VAC with loader

Hey guys,
I been looking for a cheap tractor with front end loader to load sand in my dump trailer so I can haul it to another property I have, just saw this Case on FB for sale, it?s about two hours south of me. I?m not looking for anything in particular and don?t care if I find a gas burner or a diesel, just looking for something dependable that?s cheap, I noticed the rear tires on this one are slick. Don?t know anything about Case tractors as they are kind of rare in my area, please enlighten me on this model tractor, the front bucket looks mighty big for this tractor, all comments welcome, is the owner within reason on his asking price? Only one picture was posted on FB. Once again, I?m looking for a cheap rig....

Way over priced plus with out power steering you would find it hard to do much with a bucket that size. Rear tires are slick due to the fact they are light on the rear end so the rears have likely to have been spun many times

Not a good value. For wood chips, OK but sand Not reasonable. Over priced with must replace tires. Would be overpriced with new tires. Jim

While it may be a little overpriced, they are a snotty little tractor. As far as I know, 1956 was the last year, and no such thing as VAC-18. I have a 1954 VAC-14.

Thanks , I knew it was too much but was curious as to how high the seller has over priced it. I saw on Craigslist a Diesel 601 Ford tractor for $2800 that?s about hour and a half from me that has a loader, thought about going and getting it and remove the loader and put on my 63 4000 gas burner then sell the 601.

The VACs were a gutty little tractor. We had two at one time or another.

We even ran an AC 5' combine with one.

That being said, I never heard of a '58 VAC 18. Something smells.

That is why I always have something on the 3 point that is heavy so as to off set the problem plus many times have the tires full of fluid

VAC production ended 54/55 year, and no such thing as a VAC18. A VAC with a loader is in the same category as a Ford N tractor and loader. That is a Levitrite tractor. (Leave it right where it is)

While I agree that bucket is too big to fill with sand for the VA (its not a VAC) I have seen many of them here spend their whole life with a loader on them with no problems,, of course anyone can tear up a machine I have seen at least five jd 4020's here broken in half, and another 10 of them with the front ends ripped out from under them,, so size to me really matters not to a hard on equipment person. price is high also,, but I would take a VA over a 8N or 800 ect Ford any day for a loader unit,, I have fixed a Lot of front ends on them also here over the years not one VA have I had to fix a front end on though just what I see here, a little common sense goes a long ways on equipment most people do not know what that is it seems, but that sure kept my repair shop Busy

Thanks for all the replies and everyone is in agreement that seller is asking too much for it. But, I don?t believe anyone stated what the Case is worth. How about some comments of what it would bring in your area..

Here about the same as Bruce states,, if it had Eagle Hitch (3pt) maybe a bit more, I see them bring 2000 range with no loader here but good tires, but thats a fair range for here at auction NE Wyoming
