My 641 runs for a while and starts having issues it will cut off and crank back but choke has to be all the way out. if i let it sit for a while, hour or two it will run again for a while and star having issues again. Im thinking it may be running hot but there water is not steaming. Any suggestions ?

Restriction in the fuel system. Take off line at the carb from tank and see if you can fill a quart container and check the flow from beginning to end to see if it slows down. Then there might be a screen where the line attaches to the carb.

Run it till the problem happen and the moment it dies check that you have a good blue/white spark at the center wire of the cap and at all 4 plug wires. Spark needs to jump a 1/4 inch gap or more

Next check that you have a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in less then 3 minutes

Your problem could be weak spark due to a coil going bad or could be a fuel problem

Best answer!
Check your spark First.
Verify that you have a bright, bluish white spark that will jump at least a quarter inch.
It requires No Tools to pull a plug wire and check.
Only then go on to fuel.

I bought my 641, about 5 miles from my house and desided to drive it home. It stopped about 1/2 mile from my drive way.

I could pull the choke and it would start a, go a few feet, then stop.

I fought it for a week but, could get gas to flow much.

I finally pulled the tank and the screen had broken off on the outlet AND a Yellow Jacket had found it's way into the outlet. I replaced the tap and cured it.
