I hate to ask and I have a good idea what's wrong but here goes anyway.
My friend drove is 77 diesel over here last summer it started fine prior to driving over but we had to pull it after that. It sat all winter and the fuel all leaked into the crank case. We made sure the plunger was free and put a new O ring on the small injection pump filter. Tried to start it but no go. No smoke either. It turns over pretty fast but I'm going to put a charger on it and check the battery anyway.
We pulled it about 15 feet and it started right up. We can not shut the throttle down to an idle or it will die. I also turned the fuel up 2 turns but still no smoke. Any suggestions?
