Hi I am new to this site so if I am doing something wrong let me know.

I am looking for a couple of large and good tractors shows with swaps or flee markets in the midwest. I already go to several shows in Michigan and the one in Portland IN. Looking for one that I may make a vacation destination, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

For me the best is the Rantual Half Century of Progress show,,nothing can compare ti it..

You just missed the Pioneer power swap meet near Le Seur ? MN. google aerial views . I was there three hours and did not even begin to see it all.

August 16-18 is Badger Steam and Gas Show, about 40 miles NW of Madison, Wi., near Baraboo. Four miles off I-90 & I-94. Usually about 400 tractors, threshing with steamers, wood cutting, and a huge flea market spanning about 40 acres. Soil is sandy so no mud. Lots of shade trees near the food area. Lots of food choices.

Golf cart rental or bring your own but get it registered an arrival. (Check website for details.)

Big Casino 2 miles away in case you have too much money. I mean, a BIG casino.

Nearby is Wisconsin Dells big tourist area, Big swimming pools with wave machines, hundreds of motels and steak houses.

Plenty of places to "keep Wisconsin green".
LA in WI

Pawnee OK starting tomorrow and thru Sunday. Not the biggest, but you can see an old steam engine climb a 45-degree ramp, many many tractors, exhibitions, parts trailers, parade of power, plowing demo, threshing, baling, rock-crushing, etc. etc.

Definitely Rantoul. Already got the hotel booked. Just have to figure out what tractors and equipment are going for sure. Haven?t missed one since the Big Bud 747 was there. You?re right, there is no equal when it comes to shows.

Rollag is the biggest by far as far as steam, hit and miss, saw Mills, and construction equipment. They have tractors and machinery too and will feature the best this year, or case to those who don't know better. Lol plan a minimum of two days or you won't see much of it.

Classic Green Reunion in Grand Island Ne. June 13-15 Everything John Deere with a swap meet.

Almelund, Mn Threshing Show. August 9-11. Lots of tractors, tractor parade, hit and miss engines, antique tractor pull, swap meet (10% tractor stuff, 90% flea market stuff) and lots of pioneer exhibits (saw mill, blacksmith shop, shingle mill, large stationary electricity generators, etc.)

I agree - if a person is into the (approximately) 1950-1970 vintage of tractors then Rantoul is one great show. Lots of good field demonstrations, too. I've been there the past two shows and am hoping to make it there again this year.

I want to thank everyone for your input, time to do some home work and figure out where to go, they all sound like good shows, as of now Portland IN in August has been my favorite.

This one.

Rock River Thresheree in Edgerton is a good show. 25 or so Steam traction engines, 3-400 tractors, a nice gas engine display. Plus it has a narrow gauge Steam train for
rides, plus the steam pile driver, what a sight. Flea market, sawmill, blacksmith shop, engine museum with large steam and diesel engines. Plenty of food, nice show,
labor day weekend.

The Rock River Thresheree is a very good show. They have a great variety of pre-1930 tractors.

Rollag this year is featuring case and will have that one of a kind completely new rebuilt 150 hp steam engine there
