Ford 445 Industrial PTO kit

There used to be one, because I've found traces on the internet talking about adding the 'kit' to an industrial 445 in the field. So far, no luck in finding the 'kit' with all the bits a pieces. I don't want to try a junk yard with a rear end that already has it, but that might be my last hope.

If anyone has info on such a 'kit' (46 pieces I think), please let me know. Or, if you happen to have a Ford 445 with PTO lying around, and want to get rid of the diff and trans I'm listening.
 

What transmission do you have?
If it's a 4x4 torque convertor trans there's no pro available.
PTO for a 6x4 manual reverser is difficult to find, I haven't seen one yet to go in my 4500.
8x2 trans is same as on ag tractors.
 

Never heard of a KIT but 8x2 trans is easiest to get parts for.
You need the correct pressure plate, trans input shaft and support, pto front gear, thru shaft and necessary bearings for the trans. For the rear axle you need a hyd pump with the pto pump, control valve assembly, complete clutch pack assembly and all piping along with the pto output shaft, rear support, bearing and seals.
It would be much easier and cheaper to pick up a 8x2 trans and rear axle center section from a ag tractor to swap onto your tractor.
4000, 4600, 4610 3930 and 4630 2wd tractors with 8x2 trans will all work.

Yup, I'm betting this will be my path forward. Thank you for all the correct models to swap in. I might start calling around tractor breakers soon.
 

Not sure where your located.
Site member illbdipt in NJ has a 4500 ind with 6x4 trans that has the pto.
I need that for my 4500 but he's to far from me.
 
Looking for some assistance figuring out my tractor. I need a PTO and don't have one. I'm not sure which transmission I have...it has F and R on the right of the steering wheel, and 4 speeds on the shifter. I attached the plate with details. So, my questions is, can it be retrofitted with a PTO if I can find the parts?

Your hood tag does not match your description of the transmission you have
Tag says you have a 86 model 445A industrial with diesel engine, no pto and 6x2 manual transmission
I highly suspect the tag is stamped wrong as the 6x2 transmission was normally only seen in the lower cost 2000/2600 ag tractor
You are describing a 4x4 torque converter transmission
If that’s what you have unfortunately a pto was never available for that transmission
It’s been my experience that any tractor did not come with a pto does not have any of the components in the transmission or clutch assembly to operate a pto, therefore it is cheaper and much less time consuming to find another tractor with pto than to gather all the necessary components to convert the one you have
In your case you would need a different transmission and every component behind the engine to add a pto to that tractor
 
Thank you for the quick response. I realize I said the F-N-R shifter was on the right, but it’s actually on the left of the steering wheel. And the gears are just 1-2-3-4 on the shifter. Assuming that doesn’t change your comments? I attached more photos if that helps.
