What have I found ?

Coming home yesterday from a trip to HF and Northern Tool, I saw this tractor at an implement dealer. It's says Yanmar Diesel on the hood.If the hour meter has worked its whole life, only got 153 hours on it. Has a two cylinder diesel, "TR2" on the nameplate, 4 x 12 front tires and 8 3/8 ? 22 rear tires. It has an over running clutch on the PTO. Just wondering if it might be worth looking into. Can someone tell me how to post the pics?? I can get them in the box, but don't know to load them into the message. This is on a smartphone with a dummy using it!!

Those little yanmars aren?t bad tractors we had one it didn?t have a water pump and it didn?t like to stay cool

I have two Yanmar engines and have had no trouble with them. Fairly common in smaller John Deere tractors.

(quoted from post at 14:39:46 04/29/19) Whats the problem with Grey market tractors?Hoye Tractor has about anything you'd need for one.
The complaints I've heard about grey market tractors is that there are sometimes subtle differences that make it impossible to get the correct parts.
As far as Yanmar equipment goes, everybody I've ever talked to about them felt they were very well built, and nearly as good as Kubota.

There is a Yanmar 2TR engine, but I've never seen a tr 2 tractor. The 2 in 2tr stands for 2 cyl. And, that's a very old version. Good tractor in it's day, but parts are hard to find.

Newer Yanmars are great tractors. I'd look for 3 cyl with powershift. Parts for most of those are easy to find.

I wouldn't be worried about it being a "gray market" machine. I have a gray market Hitachi mini excavator and it has been no problem getting stuff. If you are the type of person that just wants a parts guy to look up a number for you and hand you the parts it might not be for you though.

Normal maintenance stuff is all right in stock at the NAPA store. Seals are common metric items available at my local (15 miles away) seal supply. Tracks are the same as many other mini machines and readily available. Hoses and fittings are common JIC that any hydraulic supply will have. Pins and bushings are are available on the Web. Most of the rest can be fixed by anyone with a welder, lathe, and mill.

Just looked online for 8 3/8" x 22" rear tires and they're scarce/expensive!! That keeps me from even remotely wanting it now.
