It's a Monday job.

I was going to replace the electric clutch on my
mom's zero turn mower this afternoon. I found the
crankshaft bolt missing on the mower, and the
replacement clutch didn't come with one. Just a
7/16 fine thread 2" bolt. Good thing I live close
to the big fancy city. Just a short trip to
Orscheln's and ....no wait, they don't have it. No
problem, I will go to O'Reilly, it's just up the
road. No luck. Good thing Lowe's is close, never
mind, they have 7/16-20 bolts but not long enough.
Maybe auto zone, or advance...you guessed it. Not
one in this town, at least on Sunday.

That's what I miss about the old "mom & pop" hardware stores.

The cardboard drawers full of every little oddity you could ever need.

Now, if it doesn't bring in a profit, it won't be there!

I hate when that happens . I was resealing a breakaway coupler on the 3020 last night and was just going back together when the snap ring I was putting in shot through the air like a bullet I heard it land but never could find it luckily I was able to straighten the old one and reuse it otherwise I?d have to wait until tomorrow to get one at John Deere

I've got a really large collection of bolts I've collected over the years from 1/4" to 3/4".
7/16" is probably the rarest size and the one I have the least of but if your'e really in a bind, I'm sure I could find one to send you.
Lord knows, at my age, I ain't never goin' to use 'em all.

For me, Tractor Supply Co. would be the only stop on my trip.

I get problem bolts like that from my lathe. Made from a longer bolt or from one larger in dia. turned to size and threaded. Then mill head smaller. Can do it in less time than running to two or three different stores and maybe still not getting it.
