John Deere 245 Value

Hey all, I'm new to this furum so please forgive any mistakes.


Does anyone here know the aproximate value of a John Deere 245 Garden Tractor? It a 14hp Kawasaki which smokes a little on startup, 48" deck , and hydrostatic. Its also in excellent cosmetic condition and except for the aforementioned smoking works perfectly.

Just more of those old mowers out there than there are buyers , if you get much of an offer you better take it.

Instead of the weak and short lived K46 transmission used in entry level and up to some midline lawn tractors for the past couple of decades . The 245 used an entirely respectable BDU-21 hydrostatic transaxle .

I just re-read your post . Buy the lawn tractor, in particular because the new "equivalent" replacement would be the X380 at $4400.00.
