Power Mark tires

I'm considering a set of Powermark or Power Mark tires. Seller says you can still see the size written on the lugs and zero checking.
I don't think they make that brand anymore. Does anyone know when they went out of business. Might help to figure out how old they are that way.
Thanks

I have a power mark tire out back I have no idea how old it is but tractor tires age doesn?t seem to bother them like a car tire

Thanks.
I just have no idea how old they might be.
Could be 10 years, could be 40 for all I know.
How come you're up so darned early?
I thought I was the only one up at 3AM.

I haven?t made it to bed yet . I don?t know much about the tire brand but I do have a 15.538 in the garage that I?m sure is one of the first ones made after they went to the new tire sizes but it is in mint condition

According to an old post here on YT it would have been 06 or 07. That's new enough to have a date code. Not sure if Kelly Springfield used the same code as others but should.

I have a set on a tractor I bought, good tires so far have no idea how old they are now.BTW since we talk cultipackers sometimes, bought two small cultipackers in good condition at an auction yesterday for $45 each.

From what I have read...?

Power Mark is a Kelly tire made by Goodyear.
They went bye bye when Titan bought Goodyear Ag in 06 or 07.
You can get the date code but even then you may not be able to tell how old they are.

4 number code like 0305 would be March of 2005
But a 3 number code like 035 could be March of 1995; 1985; or even 1975
They changed from the 3 number code to the 4 number code in 2000.

I have a pair of Kelly Springfield, Power Mark 2000s in 13.6x28 4 ply on a Ford 2000 and another set on a 3000, both bought in the year 2000...best I can remember as I thought the 2000 added to the sidewall was interesting...since 2000 was supposed to be the year of doom for computers. Tires are in excellent condition (not sitting out in the weather) tread near new....still vaguely see the size still molded in some of the lugs, no weather cracking, no this and no that.....just great tires.

I sold hundreds of those. Is it a long bar/short bar tire. Can you get any other name off it. What size do you have? The long bar/short bar configuration went away because the roads killed the short bar and then left a bigger space between the long bars so they wore out faster too. They were a great all around tire if you could keep them off the asphalt or cement.

Got a pair of 16.9 x 38 Kelly's on my 4020. Date code is C245. What does the letter C stand for?

Powermark is just a Goodyear DynaTorque long-bar, short-bar.

The nice thing about Goodyear DynaTorques is they wear like iron and never seem to check or dry rot.

The bad thing about Goodyear DynaTorques is they're about worthless when traction is required.

My bars are the same length and arc'd slightly for forward cleaning and some reverse traction. My Bransons have Titans with the long/short bars and I never had a problem with traction with them.

We had a set of Goodyear dt 710 radials they might not have been the best but they were a lot better than a bias ply that?s for sure

I know this is an old thread, chances of someone seeing this are slim. Anyway, Within the last year (2023) I acquired an old International 330, the guy i got it from said been setting for couple years so Im rebuilding it. So One of the rear tires is a 14.9.26 Power mark tire, It looks as in excellent shape, no weather checking what so ever and does not seem like rubber is that hard. don't know how old it is, Trying to find a mate to it. Seems like other tires no matter what the brand is not the same in height or width. On the other side it has a 16.9.26 good year, it is rubbish, junk. I've been looking for months trying to find a mate for the powermark,
