6v to 12v headlights

Trying to update my 6v headlights to 12v. The rest of the electrical is 12v. I have GE 4511 bulbs now. What is the 12v. equivalent sealed beam headlight? Surely someone has gone this route before.

Thanks!

Look for "PAR 36" lamps.

That will get the shape, diameter that will fit.

Then look for the voltage (12v), the wattage, lumens, color, flood or spot (spot for vehicle use). You can get them in incandescent (original), halogen, or LED.

4411 You don't want spots on the front you want either a flood (preferred) or trapezoid. Think of a beam going out in a narrow long line. That would be a spot like your flashlight. A flood is more like your yard light.

Keep what you have and just wire them in series.... 12 volt input to one light, other terminal of that light over to the other bulb (rather than going to the chassis ground). Then leave the ground wire as it is on the second bulb.....6+6=12V.
