First planter in the field this year.

Saw my first planter in the field today. He was in the sandy bottoms where the WI river and the Mississippi river meet. I did plant some oats yesterday and some anhydrous is going in. Southwest WI. Tom

I got some ground worked between the rains last week. Alot more tillage done on the high sand and some corn in the ground south of me. The sloughs are still full of water so we cant do much in the river bottoms, need to start burning off drifts.

Saw 2 planting around Crawfordsville Indiana last Tuesday. Friday trip to Elgin Illinois saw several chisel and molboard plowing and another planter making dust about 18 miles from Wisconsin border. Renter here ran the Gator fertilizer spreader 2 days now. (East of Seymour on clay)
