Kubota M7060 tractors ?

Looking at a Kubota M7060 4X4 with cab and loader. My main use will be handling round bales and bush hogging the pasture. Does anyone on here have one and has the dpf emissions caused you any problems ?

Do not have a m7060, but have 2 m9960's which should be similar. I do not like the dpf's, but have not had any dpf problems with either machine. PTO brakes were a weak spot on some of the 9960's, especially if pulling rotary cutter. Don't know if 7060's had the same PTO clutches or not.

Really the only complaint I ve heard about Kubota in general is they are very light compared to other brands. I plan on getting the cast centers and then fluid the rear tires and that should be good enough for my use.

We have had an open station M7060 for 1 year now. It's bigger than we needed, so it doesn't get worked as hard as it should. The dealer told us it would regenerate every 50 hours or so. In reality, it happens every 10-12 hours.

Our typical duty cycle involves 10 min of idle time while the implements are setup, an hour of operation, and 10 min of cleanup. If I can manage it I shut it off instead of idling it, but that isn't always an option. If you are planning to use it all day, every day, I'm confident it would be closer to the 50 hour interval.

With that said, the regenerations aren't really a problem but they can be inconvenient. If they happen in operation, it's hardly noticeable. The exhaust makes more of a whistling sound, but it doesn't affect the power output. This past winter we did a regeneration while running the snowblower at 15F and didn't have any issues. Most of the time I end up just parking it and running it at PTO speed for 15 min until it finishes.

I do have the cast centers and loaded rear tires. With the loader fully weighted, it could use more weight in the back. I'm thinking of picking up a set of wheel weights. There are also times that the front end is a little light, even with the loader.

Overall I've been very happy with the machine. Good luck!

The M7060 is one of Kubotas most highly regarded tractors.

Yes, it is light vis a vis similar MF, CNH, etc., but you should not expect any trouble outside of abuse.

I own an M9960.

The changeover from the weak PTO brake to the more robust version was made during the M9960 run. My SN is prior to the changeover. Grrrrrrrrrr!

I've seen both earlier (weak) and subsequent (more robust) PTO brake assemblies.

Much rather have the later design.

jd. Just looked and we (Dealership_) has 34 of the M 7060s out that we have sold since they came out. Lots of hay/cattle folks around here. I did see one warranty of $370.00 dollars but really very little trouble with those tractors. Yhe cast center wheel option will up the weight but most of what we have sold have steel dish two weights pre side and fluid. You will like the tractor.

we have an open station here . me coming from a 3000 ford and a farmall 560 where ya can ease the pto on I hate the blasted pto engagement on the thing blame twist on twist off switch

I just brought a new M6060, 4 wheel drive and a cab, which is the next size smaller. I have only ground feed and ran my wood splitter with it so far. I have 30 hrs on it and it regenerated at 16 hrs once so far. I was just putting it in the barn when it started to regen. I came in and read the manual again and went out and did a manual regen on it. I just hit the button and it went off on its own for about 20 minutes before it was complete. I also have 3 smaller kubotas and have traded 3 previously owned ones I bought new. I always seem to do good trading them in as they seem to hold there value, although I try to take good care of them.

I didn't need a loader and was going to weight it up front and rear but the dealer didn't think I needed to. It also came in with radial tires. It replaced a M4800 two wheel drive that had no problems doing what I needed it for. I liked the 4800 but just wanted a cab so I traded it in on the 6060. If I was moving bales and doing loader work I would add a couple sets of weight on the rear and you can also get the rear cast wheels which add allot of weight. I also wish I would have got the 12 speed trans for it to, faster road speed and has a park position. Although I think its standard on the 7060.
