tractor parts runner car needs new condenser. Wondering if in changing this would you normally need to add in some pag oil ?

Yeah and a new filter/dryer.

The vehicle should have a tag stating the amount and type of oil, when replacing the condenser only I usually go with 1/4 of the total oil capacity. There is a few different viscosity's of PAG oil, you want to use the right one.

Your going to have to evacuate the system anyways after replacement i would for sure.

What happened that it needs a new condenser?

If it has a leak and has been discharged, be a good idea to replace the receiver dryer and the orifice tube. Then vacuum, add the correct amount and type of oil, charge by weight.

Typically the amount to add would be 2oz of the specified oil, not all R134 uses PAG, and some other oils are universal, and there are different viscosity oils.
