Case cc hand crank to electric start conversion

My thought is to bring the belt pulley to a machine shop and have them machine a groove for a v belt. Either have a poney motor mounted to start it or convert a winch with a pulley on it and good to go. Any thoughts? Thanks. This has been a work in progress for awhile. Have thrown many different ideas around and this (I think) is one of the best.

I think I would sell CC and buy something else with factory starter. Might take the advantage of upgrading on some other tractor options at the same time. Might as well make life easier in some other ways as well. I don't think it would cost much to swap. Be worth it to be not bothered with burden of messing around with a make shift starter yourself. My 2 cents.

Notice the starter and ring gear behind the pulley on this one.
He also did a MD 15-30 with a bigger starter.

If you are not going to use the pto. The late Herb Wessel converted a starter to the pto shaft.It was shown here on this form some years back.Then you could use the full belt pulley for belt work.
