Tractor mailbox

Few miles from where I live, interesting mix of old farmland and recent subdivisions with McMansions cropping up. Mostly hay and cattle and some corn in this area.

With all the salt they use here in NY that tractor would melt down into a pile of crap in a short time, when the plows covered that thing up in the winter.

A guy around here had his mail box on the front fender
of a 1950's Willy's pickup. The highway department made him move
it and put up a regular mailbox.

I think the guy with the tractor is OK.....it looks like the tractor itself is off the right-of-way.

The mailbox looks like it is mounted on a hinged arm, but a 3000 pound mailbox post might not pass the break-away requirement for mail box posts.

For awhile my mother was secretary to a US Patent Attorney. On a visit once she showed me some of the applications. You wouldn't believe some of the
applications submitted under the title US Mail Box......but the tractor things are unique, will give you that.
