Tractor hours and hour meter

Finally straightened out my charging problem on my Kubota b8200 with the help of jm. who posts here time to time. Real helpful guy ! We spoke several times and I got it figured out. Doing a service on it today. Got to thinking the hour meter only goes to 1000 hours and starts back at 0. I bought it used, and have already rolled the meter once myself. So is there any way to know the actual tractor hours since new ? Not a big deal, I have no issues and it runs great. Just wondering is all !

Glad we got you going , on the hour meter no way of knowing how many times they go over. Yours must have been a 900 + when you got it.

Yeah Jerry I'm sure. I bought it back in 2010. It showed 600 some hours back then. Only rolled it once since I've owned it, but I'm sure it's been rolled several times considering its age. Thanks for the help ! I appreciate you taking the time to talk !

You never know , I have seen some 100 series (62,72,82,9200) that were 20 + years old and have 300 hrs. Some of those tractors may not have been ran 20 hours a year. Hard to say unless one knows the previous owner and usage. There is just not a common weakness that say shows up and 2 thousand hours or so like a lot of larger tractors. On the two wheel units seemed the steering sector would always be the first thing to go. Engine and transmission last forever.

I think it is impossible to tell on a small tractor such as yours. On a large tractor you get some idea by how much the draw-bar hole is stretched.
