How many PTO shafts does one guy need?? Claims to have over 4000. Thousands of bush hog blades ,gear boxes, tail wheel brackets, and stump jumpers. Lots of it scattered around the woods

Sell to make some money I'd imagine and glad he does because otherwise they'd of been scrapped most likely.

I can ask him next week when I'm
back over there. He used to be a
Bush Hog dealer. Do a bit heavy on
those parts.

Because he was a bush hog dealer. I'll bet he took a LOT of wrecked mowers in on trade over the years, and kept any good usable parts off them, scrapping the decks.

For sure TF but I wonder how many he sells (or could sell)? Once his kids take over (if that happens), the scrap dealer will likely arrive on the scene pretty quick. Amazing what a lifetime of work can show up as though ..... amazing really.

Local Case-IH dealer was forced to remove the PTO shafts from ALL equipment in inventory and lock them in a storage shed. Otherwise they just disappeared.

A scrap yard auction buyer of cheap stuff that no one bid up. Probly a small amount of what was purchased and sold as scrap. No advertisement to sell those items. Those would be the last part I would think about going to a scrap yard to buy.

When I worked at a dealership all PTO shafts were pulled, tagged and put in wholegoods inventory system. Nobody wanted to eat the cost of an $800+ half shaft.
