Lots to see and do in Brown County, just east of Columbus. Plenty of shopping and just seeing rural southern Indiana.
Brown County State Park. If you have problems with height don't go. I found that out years ago. Road on top of ridge and drop off at edge of pavement, do not let your tire get off of pavement or you are in trouble. Shaking like a leaf before I got out of there. If that does not bother you nice place.

Clifty Falls State Park in Madison has some beautiful scenery and downtown Madison has many antique shops, coffeehouses and cafes along the streets.

Brown County is a great place to go, unless the leaves are turning, then you can't find a parking spot or walk down the sidewalks! There's usually a traffic jam trying to get into town, too!
Not trying to discourage you from visiting Brown County, just wanted you to be aware if you were looking for something quiet and peaceful. The leaves usually turn around the time of your trip.

Sorry, won't make it. I can't walk without hip pinching a nerve. Seeing my family Dr April 3 so I can see a neurosurgeon who has an X ray machine to locate pinched nerves.
