Al,I've got fuel spritzing out of that tiny little pin hole in that "knob" on the front of the CAV pump on my White 2-105.
Is that something that can be fixed right on the tractor,either by myself,or by you if I paid you for a service call should you be down this way sometime? Or will I have to take the pump off the tractor and bring it up to you?

Man you sure know how to hurt a guys feelings, a service call to NEW YORK , I would be all over that, bring a little double bubble stick on the hole and have me a great road trip all at old Rs expense.. Just my luck someone else has already told you how to fix the problem.
 
Michigan. Al lives a little north of me. I run in to him at the flea market a few times a year.
 
What's involved in that? I looked at the one on the 1850 and it doesn't appear to have a hole in it,unless it's painted over. I've got another one of those around here someplace off the original engine out of the 1850. It's in a plastic bag. I had it in my hand not long ago,but I can't find it today to save my soul. I wanted to look and see if that one had a hole in it.
 
Found it. I think it was the one anyway,wasn't in a bag though. I cleaned it off,it has a hole in it. The one on the 1850 must be painted over.
 
Randy, I am sorry I have not got back to you sooner. This time of year is very busy for this little pumpman. Everybody wants their pump repaired before spring work, but waited till last week to pull it off. I do have a couple of pumps I have done for guys who I guess live only a handful of miles from you. I maybe delivering one to a guy in Ithaca, and one to Stanton this next week. I do have the parts that replace that dampener that you have leaking. Yes it can be done on the tractor. I could also drop one in the mail for you. Please give me a call and I can fix you up, Al 231/757/0064
