Third Drain Plug Mystery

So there are three drain plugs in the rear half of my Case 931 (4 speed) which all fill from a common fill point. Or at least I've been told. When I drained the lowest drain plug, not a drop came out. Also worth mentioning is that the 3 point does not want to raise and lower on this tractor, but the hydraulic pump seems to be working (engine RPM's drop when I engage the levers for the remotes).

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Can't answer your Case question (maybe the Case board would be a better place to post it) but I sure do enjoy your videos!

I don't know that tractor as such but I would think you have the transmission the rear end and hyds so 3 drains and likely to have more then one fill point and if the hyds are not working good chance you have ice or lack of fluid

If the lowest one towards the rear had no oil that is the hyd, so makes sense the 3pt don't lift.

Oh, and as you've been told, there is one fill point above and left of the PTO. Over filling by a gallon or two is a good idea.

Okay, y'all were right, I took the third drain plug loose and reached up in there. It felt like I was feeling the "grit" that solidifies on the guard of a grinding machine, but sure enough when I poked it with a wire, liquid came through. Gross. Sometimes it really is the simple things. Thanks everyone. I guess that just leaves the mystery of:

the 3 point does not want to raise and lower on this tractor, but the hydraulic pump seems to be working (engine RPM's drop when I engage the levers for the remotes).

You are pretty good at making "How TO" videos, but when you ask a question here, and you get experienced replies, YOU never post back to let us know what you have found. I can't get real enthused about replying to you when we NEVER get a response back from you, or Thank You, for trying to help you.

In regards to the 3 point look on the operators platform behind where your right heel would be, there is a strip of metal, which has a curved end so you can move it, I think it should be in the 2nd hole from the front. Let us know if this works
