JMS/.MN advice request

Mr.JMS/.MN, I came across a 2009 post in which you mentioned that at one time you ran a sprayer pump off the front/mid pto of your (new generation, I assume) JD tractor. Can you elaborate on the details of how this was accomplished? I'd like to do this with my 2510 but the space is tight, only 3" from shaft centerline to bottom of tractor, and only 4 or 5 inches free in front of the shaft. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

If I may comment, some versions of DEERE "10", and later model "50" mid-mount sickle mowers drove from the front PTO using a short countershaft.

I have a #50 with the countershaft missing, but IIRC, there's some photos in the operator's manual as to how it's set up, mite give some ideas.

I'll try to remember to grab the manual later when I'm at the shop and have a look.

Are you planning to drive a (slow, 540 RPM) roller pump, a (medium speed, 1000 RPM) turbo pump, or a (HIGH speed, 3600 RPM) centrifugal pump?

I first used it on the 3020, with saddle tanks, then 0n the 4020 with the same tanks. The front shaft is 1000 rpm only. IIRC, the pump was a belt drive...skinny belt, don"t remember what kind of bracket I had the pump on. I do remember just slipping the belt off so I could run the grinder-mixer with the 3020.
