End of winter?

Did a kind of farewell to winter drive into the mountains today. Our snow's pretty much gone. (Southeast Idaho). Tried to get in to see Mesa Falls, but the road was not plowed past this parking area for snowmobilers. I think there's about 6' on the ground.

Average Temps Here in Central, IN is about 44, & tomorrow will be about 25 - 30 below normal. Down to about 7 tonight, & 1 inch of snow already on the ground. 6 FEET!!! I would die!!!

Planting corn in 5 weeks, right? April 11th is the insurance date in my part of MN.

More likely filling sand bags for the town folk in 5 weeks........

Most corn crops don't mature well up here. Usually takes too long to get it in the ground. If too early, then just a waste of money.

Winter has NOT ended here in Michigan! It seems the seasons have shifted about 2 months since I was a kid. Today looks more like the Janurary's I remember.

Woke up to -28 in western WI this morning, talk of setting a record for the coldest high temp today. Damn sick of cold and snow. Running out of places to put the stuff.

I was talking with a couple yesterday and said the same thing seems like the seasons shifted two months later. maybe has to do with the shifting magnetic poles.

The sun has been shining more this last week than before. I see that as a sign that winter will soon be fading. It is now one degree outside and I get to put a garage door back in its tracks after someone backed out with it only half open.

The title on your post made me think of the TV show "Jeopardy."

Contestant: "I'll take 'weather' for $800, Alex."

Alex: The clue is, "It won't happen in Minnesota this year."

Contestant: "What is...."
