Pushing the sand back up against the berm, a D6, with a wing, I've never seen a wing on a dozer before. The waves weren't quite big enough for the surfers.

Here in NJ they went crazy building really big berms all of the way up the coast. Then they planted a specially bread type of dunes grass all over them. The stuff looks pretty junky and stringy but sun of a gun it has been working pretty well. Dune damage is way down but we haven't gotten hit by a real hurricane yet since sandy. That storm ripped the daylites out of the joint. Time will tell but some stringy crummy looking grass is doing its job.

Here's a pic of an old Cletrac with V-plow and a wing on both sides.

Plow and both wings are made of wood, with steel blades.

That cat has got some massive cylinder's on it, there pushing snow drift's back on the county roads with the IH Quad track, and at least a 16 foot Degelman dozer, maybe its even a 20 foot wide dozer, looks like a mess at first, but the snow drifts, every day,the snowplow wing has got it 4-5 foot high on spots!

Doing things like that can be dangerous.

One son is in heavy equipment repair. One day he got an urgent call to go down to the local harbour. There they were building a new boat ramp, had just sunk the Cat excavator and the tide was coming in.

He taped everything gettable up and they watched it drown. At high tide the warning light on the cab was visible. Got it out the next day with another excavator and a big winch.

It had 26 hours on it.

Down in Florida, I see them using a Deere with a grooming machine on the beach. It picks up trash, and smooths out the beach.
