The Farmall M has been getting a good workout this winter. Been stuck twice so far. Snowiest February on record, nearing 4 feet here. And March is typically our snowiest month.... I'm ready for it.

Tire chains wouldn't have done much more good (made some improvised tire chains to try to get out with no luck).. My entire property is an ice rink - in Nov/December we were 'gifted' with a 4" slush storm that froze solid and has never since thawed out. Put 3+ feet of snow on top of it now.... The tractor does fine until it starts slipping, then it is just chains scraping on ice.

But you will still go further with chains.

Greg, that's exactly how I wanted to paint mine too! Just like a WW2 fighter! Of course I asked a couple years ago when I was painting it and my uptight boss told me 'NO', said he was worried about it being a distraction to incoming drivers. Hell, they'd never see it, they don't look up from their phones long enough! I have a new boss now that isn't so uptight, maybe I'll try again asking about shark teeth when I paint it this fall. I'd love to do the WW1 dazzle camo, but that actually IS distracting!

Sometimes further isn?t always better especially
when you get the biggest piece of equipment you
have stuck sometimes it?s better to be a little stuck
than chains on all 4 tires stuck and so far in that
nothing is big enough or can get to you to get you
unstuck stuck
