The rear tire on my JD mowing tractor started going down. I found the valve stem core was leaking. replacing that small part saving me a lot of trouble. Stan

Many years ago I discovered the valve stem leaking on a 16.9x38. Went to town and got a new valve stem. Changed it out, and then discovered that my dinky little air compressor didn't have enough oomph to inflate the tire again. Had to borrow an air compressor.

If the tires on your tractor are loaded with that salt stuff it raises total havoc with those little cores. I change mine out about every two years just to be safe. Cheep and easy. On flea bay / amazon you can get a whole bag full with the tools for only a couple of bucks.
