I have bought some light ballast that are t8, the old ballast are t5 is it possible to convert them to t8? To keep this tractor related I hope to use them in the garage where the tractors. Thank you

I don't think they are interchangeable.

You might be able to put T8 sockets in the fixture, but even that will be difficult as the lamps are different length.

What brand are the ballasts? If they are Sola, good reason they were being sold...

Forget the ballast and install LED tubes. By pass the ballast and wire the tombstone sockets direct.

From what I understand not all LEDs are made to work without a ballast.
