Sorta OT 2002 F-150

The compass/thermometer in the top-side console in my 02, F-150 quit. I took the electronic gizmo out of it like youtube shows,(it's the full length one with 2 storage bays up there). A pal said he had an 03 I could have the part out of, if I wanted it. I went to snatch it out yesterday and low and behold it had a sun-roof and an abbreviated top console, much shorter than mine front to back. It was cold, rainy, and windy so I decided to leave until I asked for advice about it on here, plus not to mess his up por nada. Does anyone here know about that? It IS my tractor hauler p/u. gm

Just a short note to tell you that you can get your temperature/compass unit repaired for about $25 on ebay. There are a number of guys offering this service. I had my Toyota temperature/compass repaired on ebay about 6-8 years ago, works fine ever since. This is normally an easy fix....in my case it was a defective solder joint, which he repaired and guaranteed his work.

I am unsure of your truck, however, I used a place called circuit board medics with pleasant success to repair a GM truck dash cluster.

If the display and button look the same chances are it?ll work. They likely just left out the radar detector cubby out of the console to allow for room for the sun roof .
