Grader blade cylinder

If I wanted to mount a hydraulic cylinder on a 7' grader blade to control the horizontal angle, how big of a cylinder....bore and/or rod diameter... do you figure would be needed?

Thanks

Don't know what the engineers would say but I put a 2" on a 6 foot. Works great. Hardest part was figuring where to mount it to get the full swing in both directions.

I?ve got a 3.5 inch bore 1 1/4 rod on a 8 foot blade it works pretty good . When I replace it I?m going to a 4 inch bore .

Why? Too much give with the 3.5"? Just curious.

Fred the 3.5 has actually been plenty strong especially for what I?ve put it through but i still think I?m going to go with a 4 or 5 inch next time they take quite a beating on a grader blade
