Front tire chains

I plow snow with a New Holland Workmaster 37 using a back blade.

I want to put chains on the front tires only (25 x 8.5 - 14 R4)

Most of the chains I find on the various internet sites I have searched have small diameter cross chains...3/16" - 1/4" diameter

Just wondering if they would hold up...they would be twist link cross

Anyone have experience on a smaller tractor like this ??

i have front chains on my kubota L3400 when it gets icy, havn't had any problems so far. been running them for 5 yrs. now. still look new.

If you have tractor farm tread leave them a little lose and they won't stay down in the tread. Be careful you don't spin the read tire to much. Some tractors don't like that, and say chains only on the back tires.
