When repairing any type of air or gas hose, what type of repair do you prefer and why, the crimp or the thread repair kit?

What do you mean thread repair kit?

I like the push in fittings for air hoses. Might be Goodyear? Get them at the hydraulic hose shop.

I always liked this type of air hose clamp but they don't seem to be common place in the stores. Once you clamp that on it will never come off. Other type clamps seem to come loose and are physically bigger where they seem to hang on everything.

Neat fitting. Reminds me of the old screw on hydraulic fittings.

I’ve wondered how those Gates heat shrink clamps would do. There certainly wouldn’t be anything to snag on.
