Only Marilyn knows this, till now at least, but I've let a half grown garter snake live in the basement this winter here in frigid northwest Iowa. I just can't make myself throw it out in the snow. I call it my Little Buddy. Every so often I will see it curled up in one of it's favorite places when I go down there so it must be finding food. My granddaughters won't go down there but if one of the city girls did go down there and would see it I can't imagine what kind of noise that would come up the stairwell. The two farm granddaughters that live across the road would probably bring it upstairs to show it to me. LOL

Ooooh noooo! Every pic makes my snow look better and better. LOL

Also, that lil' 10 inch gator is gonna get considerably larger.

About 20 years ago, maybe a little longer a fella with a pet croc came into town for awhile. He had it on a leash, it even made the headlines in the local paper. I ran onto him with his croc on the leash in a store. He was standing by the register and when I went to the register to pay for my merchandise the croc lifted up and walked toward my leg, then set back down on its belly with its nose by my foot. The owner tried to reassure me it was as tame as a puppy dog but I wasn’t convinced. I made my purchase and got out of there.
