At the corner grocery

Went to the corner store this morning and these guys had stopped by. Took a few pictures and talked old hot rods for a few minutes.

Sorry if the pictures are sideways. Using my new dumb phone.

Nice.A lot of work put into the classics. If I had to choose I would take the Chevelle. On second thought I guess I would have to go with that t shirt weather. Thanks for posting.

Back in 1966. My uncles stuffed a 289 Cobra engine. Into a 1958 MGA. Lots of the local car crowd. Learned the hard way not to mess with him.

My older brother had a 1955 Chevy 2 door hardtop, 265 v-8. When it hit 85-90 mph the front end would get a little floaty. Things us kid brothers remember lol gobble

We had a 57 Chev when I first learned to drive. 6 cyl, four door with 3 on the tree. My dream car is a 57 two door hardtop. I will keep buying lottery tickets.

I like the silver-blue '57 two-door. I always wanted a '57 two-door post because I already had '55, '56 and '58 posts. I never found one at a reasonable price and had to settle for a '57 210 two-door hardtop -- not as classy as a Bel-Air coupe but much scarcer. (I still have the '55, two '56, the '58 and the '57 hardtop. I suppose I'm getting too old to look for that '57 post.)

I remember the '55s came with the 265, did the 283 come out in 56 or 57? And the '58 could get a 348.
