The gear from my 3010 tractor has a chipped tooth. My 3010 is the older series of 3010. I was able to find a used gear from a wrecker, but the part number on the replacement gear is for a newer model of 3010. The old and new gear are slightly different from each other. Does anyone know if these 2 gears are interchangeable even though the replacement gear came off of a newer model of 3010? The JD parts book shows different gear part numbers for the older and the newer 3010 tractors. To me, it looks like this newer gear should work.
