From what little online research I did it appears the Woody Woodpecker clock dates to the late 1950s. It belonged to an older family member and I used to admire it as a kid. Being a big fan of cartoons of course. Eventually I inherited it, cleaned it up and wind it up once in a while for exercise. It tends to stall sitting up but runs fine laying on it's side.
