Ford 600 power steering problem

Replaced a frozen power steering pump and when I started the tractor the wheel turned all the way to the right and locked. Took both arms off at the bottom of the steering box and it worked fine so that's not it. Can there be air in the lines and cylinders? Tried cracking the lines once but didn't let it run very long, and did get oil

You will need to remove the steering wheel and tin enough to get at the top of the steering column. Go through the hydraulic block where all the lines connect. You likely have crud in the plungers so they are sticking or maybe a broken spring.
They are not hard to go through.

Great bunch of very knowledgeable guys there.

If the pump was locked up, it probably shed some metal into the system.

Could be something jamming the directional valve.

Thanks for the info guys, was hoping it was just air but looks like I'll have to get into it deeper. Tractor sat for several years before I got it and when I did get it going the belt was smoking so it froze up from sitting. Thanks again
