We had a winter 5 or 6 years ago that?s was 55 and 60 degrees all winter I remember riding through the cows In February with no coat judt a long sleeve shirt we don?t need another winter like that ever again

Tee shirt weather here today, after -25 below wind here last week, how does that 2wd tractor with no chains work for you? At the farm I worked on we had a ford 4600, 2wd, no chains, sucked plowing snow or pushing back the manure pile with if, but a great tractor otherwise, my little ford 4wd could out push the 4600 any day!

Jay it works great it?s ballasted heavy weighs 9700 pounds you can see how much snow I am pushing and it doesn?t have a problem doing it . The 4020 on the other hand is not to good In the snow it weighs 11000 even with chains on the tires are to wide for the weight of the tractor . The snow in the video wasn?t near as heavy as the snow today

Ya that's is a good video, gee, I'm not sure how much our 4600 weighed, the rear tires were loaded, the biggest problem pushing snow with it was if snow was on ice, then it would just spin, real heavy snow was a problem too, the owner was to cheap/stupid to put chains on it!
 
Jay I?m afraid chains will give me to much traction and something has got to give so if the tires slip that?s better than breaking something again . Chains are great the 4020 is absolutely worthless in the snow without them I?m going to have to breakdown and find a couple more sets of wheel weights for the rear of it . Works great For field work but not good in the snow

Leroy We had our January thaw through January it was 35 degrees and we had some rain . This storm is going to blow out in the next couple days and then it will get wicked cold for about a week or ten days
