I don?t think young women back then had any more trouble catching a young fellas eye than they do now. Too bad so many girls now a days feel like they have to go out half naked to get attention.
 
I think there saying the song was 1957 and this was 1968,I remember girls dressing like that in 68,I was 20 at the time.
 
Strolling' was a smach hit in 1957.

The fact that it was still being played by bands in 1968 is evidence of its legacy.

OK, if you pay attention, the video is American Bandstand 1968. The kids in 68 were trying to emulate the Stroll from a 1957 video. Both videos are shown interspersed. The short skirts are 68, the long ones are 57. But they're a little long, lots of skirts just below the knee in 57.
 
I?m surprised Dog hasn?t jumped in on your posting of music on the tractor forum. May want to post on tales to be a purist.
 
The lead singer of the diamonds sounds a lot like Elvis,even the background music resembles Elvis? style.
 
Dave Sommerville, RIP, was the lead singer of the Diamonds as well as other 50s groups.

He was and remains a classic.
