I am so happy tires are garbage $$$... First set BF Goodrich Advantage less than 5 years old they turned a $30 state inspection into a profitable job...

I dunno whats good anymore I like Toyo's had one come apart a few weeks ago it was less than 5 years old... The rim was not bent just a junk tire are a pot hole got it... Yes Pot holes do get them I use to think its rare till I had a few wheel bearing go bad and they told me it started right after they hit a big pot hole..

Both of those sets of tires are trash.
The Michelins were before they were put on the vehicle.

Did you see where they are trying to make it illegal to sell brand new
tires, never mounted, for road use if they are more than 3 years old?
Might work out well for off-road tire users.

I wish they would ban use tar's There is a used tire shop on every corner and every vacant alley in this town..

Most ran by Mex'skins

I'll put a used tire on a tractor or implement. Not on my street driver.
But that's not what I was referring to. Brand new tires, never mounted.
After 3 years the rubber is too hard to be safe. So "they" say.
Nope, I don't know who "they" are. But I read it on the internet,
so it must be true. LOL

Knock on wood I haven't had any problems like that but the front tires on my Sierra sure do wear out quick.

Late 2017 I took it for inspection and took 2 new, well almost new tires with me for them to put on as I didn't figure the front ones would pass. I'm not sure where
these folks learned to change tires but it was comic. I stood around and waited and waited outside the garage door and they kept working on the same tire. I asked
what was the holdup and I was told they couldn't get the new tire beads to seal enough to take air but they'd get it. Another 10 minutes and I told them I was loosing
confidence and I'd pay them for that tire but I was taking it elsewhere for the other. Sure no problem they were so sorry and they'd pass it on the inspection anyway
as they new I was replacing the tires. Next thing I know they come out and say they cut the valve stem and needed to demount the tire and replace the stem and they
were taking the wheel and tire to a tire shop down the road and having them do it and I wouldn't owe them a thing. They drove off with the tire and less than 10
minutes later they were back with the it read to go. Then they throw the old on in the back of the truck--I sighed and said you don't have a way to dispose of it do
you and he said no. Oh well. So I drove off with the inspection done, still had one tire to change and I had to get rid of the old tire.

After lunch I decided to use my manual tire changer and change a tire myself. I took the one they put on off and put the old tire back on! I got like 8 more months
out of those old tires. It was bone dry here and no rain and I didn't bother to replace them until I had two people walk past the truck and turn and say man there
ain't no tread on those front tires! I just replied yea they're racing slicks. Actually having strangers notice and shortly after rain in the forecast I broke down
and put the new ones on myself. To get them to seal enough to start taking air I wrap a ratcheting strap around the tread and tighten it up which makes the side wall
push out and make contact with the bead seats--simple. I took the old ones to the tire recycling site. He reached in to get them and said wow, there's no tread left
on these. :) As a household I think I get to dispose of 5 tires a year free--he did't bother to make me fill out paperwork that day. Previously I had to fill out
paperwork just to drop off 1 golf cart tire!

Best tires I ever had on it are Kelley Safari Treks. Hands down the best grip on the back ever. Have held up really well too. I wish I could find some more. I got
the pair never used (paint strips still around the tread) from a guy off craig's list for $100. He said they were for a truck he'd just sold. This time sadly I think
all 4 are going to wear out at the same time--I've got my eyes open for more good deals. I'm currently running factory sized 235/75R16 on the rear and 245/70R16 on
the front. It's been close enough in rolling diameter the truck (ABS) hasn't cared. Actually I think 255/70R16 is an even closer match and was a optional factory
size.

I buy all my tires from Tire Barn. Pay $12.50 for lifetime rotation and balancing plus road hazzard.

Tire barn could tell if tired tires were under inflated or overloaded. Or if this were road hazzard claim.

I use used tires on wagons and front tractor tire all the time. We even make most of our wagons so I have truck frames for the wagons and at the very least the axles. I am not going to buy tire new for those uses when new tires only last a few years before they crack break a belt or some other thing. On our loader tractor I have went back to old nylon truck tires from 30 plus years ago. they are carrying the load better than the newer radials are. The nylons are only 8 ply and the radials are 10 ply.
Now the state has went to some stupid crap about selling used tires due to the theft of tires. At least that is what one of the tire dealers told me.

Can't remember the last time I bought new tires. Probably in the 1980s.

Had VERY good luck with the new tires on new cars.
