Awhile ago I asked for some advice on what to do with the floor on the trailer I am fixing up and got some good answers. The floor had some oil stained spots and I was going to paint it with the latex I had on hand but knew the paint would not stick. Some of you suggested a Kilz sealer product. I bought a gallon and did some experimenting-wiped the stains with thinner first an put on 2 coats. 1st one was 2 quarts Kilz-2 quarts thinner and 1 quart flat black. I let it dry for a week and put the second coat on. 2 quarts Kilz-1 Quart thinner and 1 quart flat black. The Kilz is white and by mixing the black in I got battleship gray. I am trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear but I am happy with the way it came out. I have to put some new hold downs and wire the brakes and will be done--THANKS to all of you---Tee

The wife's idea on the yellow-I was a little sloppy painting and she touched it up while I was bumming at the pull in Tulsa last weekend!

Really nice. Thanks for all the pictures. Ya, I like the yellow stripe. It sure makes that step stand out. Paul

Thanks-Like I said-the yellow was the wife's idea. The yellow is the frame-4 in. angle iron---Tee

Nice looking trailer. I just picked up a CARGO TRAILER to haul engines etc to shows. It is bear plywood now but I sure like the clean bright look of yours. Did you use interior latex for the walls? Did you use a porch and floor paint for the final coat on the floor?
Thanks for posting.
Dave

Latex on the walls-I bought it awhile ago to paint the inside of a semi trailer-the cheapest stuff a chain store-Menards had-took almost two gallon. The paint I used on the floor was flat black enamel mixed with the Kilz-I used a lot of thinner so it would soak in better-Thanks---Tee

You going to head this way and pull any? Probably afraid to come here after all the trouble you got into driving thru the 1/4 inch of water

No Roy-it is still in the other shed. I still owe so much on it that the bank wouldn't let me!---Tee----Good to hear from ya....

No Roy, your 500 is in the other shed. I owe so much on it and the bank has been looking for it to repossess it! How have you been standing the winter? Do you go South? We go from 30 below to 40 above--IOWA---Tee
