That we all know and love, Cracked finger time!!! Now of course we all know of a moisturizer cream that is better at healing cracks than anyone else's is, but no matter what you use you have to rub it in for awhile when you put it on because you don't want it all over your keyboard or whatever you are working on. So what you do is put on a really heavy application, and then pull on a pair of latex work gloves and you will be making your hands soft again while you work, and you can have your cream healing your hands for hours, getting two things done at once.

My hands use to crack when I was younger but they never do anymore and I?m glad because they hurt and can take a long time to heal up

I sheared a lot of sheep in my teens and 20s. I'm 75 now and can't make my hands chap or crack and I rarely wear gloves and grab metal feeders etc. Sounds like lanolin is good stuff. The other day at 4 below zero and did grab an old pair of gloves.

I do some mandolin and bass playing and cracked fingers are painful enough to discourage practice. So when needed I use a lanolin based product called Wool Wax Creme (formula AT-10) made by Marcha Labs Inc of Terry, MT.

Besides the "Working Hands" hand cream, I also patch skin cracks with Liquid Bandage. Have got four patches on three fingers in
repair now.

Two things that distroy my fingers are wareing wet cloth gloves and cleaning cattle waters.

I know a man who uses bread wrapper to
cover his knee when he applies topical
cream at night. Wrapper keeps cream off
blankets.

I had a cracked finger once.
Well, actually it was my hand.
Topical lotions didn't help.

Fresh off the truck, still wet
treated lumber is tough on hands
too. Get a bit of a breeze and
some cold temps. Then add some
working hands cream, can't hang n
to the saw anymore.
Uggggggggggghgh come on summer.

I put a dab of Super Glue on my cracked fingers. Pain stops within a few seconds. When the Super Glue wears off, the crack is healed.

The best thing for me is putting Vaseline on the cracked fingers before bed at night and a pair of cotton jersey
gloves. It took some getting used to wearing gloves at night, but by morning the cracks don't hurt. Usually a day
or two and their gone and new ones start. I found 3 months in Florida in the winter has all but eliminated the
problem.
