Well, I guess I don't get a shot at trying to pull that drill home. I was the backup bidder. Bid to my absolute maximum and it wasn't quite enough. It was in pretty good condition, but somehow the fluted feed housing were a lil busted up. Dunno if the guy had plugs and had been forcing rods down to unplug them or what. It was odd.

Hunt for a deere no till drill continues.

I would have liked to had that 4430 especially for
that price. I?d like a no-till drill but there is no way
anytime In the near future . And it would be kind of
shooting myself in the foot because I sell moldboard
plowing power harrowing or disking and drilling . a
no till drill would get rid of 3 passes or 4 and the
organic farm I do a lot with you have to have
conventional tillage because it?s your only way to
control weeds either that or hire a witch or both

That's a lot of hours for the 4430. I have
two of them. One has 5,000 hours the other
has 6,000. Neither are powershift though.
My dad bought them around 78 or 79.

We had three 4430 all with over 10.000 hours 1 poweshift and two synchro range 14 Is pretty high hours on any tractor though be a good idea to give it an overhaul if you were going to work it hard again

Harvard has the big cow on the street corner. We go through there and then south east to see our son. Seems like a long ride, wasn't it foggy.
