Paul it sure never hurts to take precautions when it?s cold and you need to be somewhere letting a truck idle all night sure beats spending all the next day trying to un gel one

Good point George. I've had more than one battery that wouldn't take a charge until brought inside overnight. And the water wasn't frozen in them as I could hear it sloshing around. When they get real low and cold, sometimes they need to warm up, don't know why.

Battery gives off gas and goes boom is my experience when using a large charger kn start mode.
