Long 2710: Even Machinery Pete doesn't know...

For the past few months I have been trying to find a Long 2710 for our farm, but my search has as of now found nothing. I even reached out
to Machinery Pete, and he had no sales records of a 2710, plenty of 2610's though. Part of the problem is that nobody seems to know how
many were sold and if they were even sold at all. There is plenty of evidence that they are out there. Which includes a dealer brochure
(see pictures), many online discussions that mention 2710's, and information on sites such as tractor data. Strange enough there are no
pictures on google. I have called two former dealers and they had no knowledge of a 2710. All I know is that and 2710 is based in the UTB
703. For those who don't know, most LONG tractors were imported from Romania and just re branded Universal/UTB tractors. I would really
like to find one for the 2019 planting season, so I got a little time. Could anyone point me in the right direction? Any information would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Good question, not the first time I've heard that. Parts for universal tractors are readily available online and from certain dealers. Universal tractors were popular in Canada and thats were most parts come from. I know this because we have a Long 2610 and have had parts shipping in from Canada. A Long 2710 is just a re branded Universal 703, so Im not concerned of parts availability. I could track down a Universal 703 and re brand it, but Im looking for the real deal. Thanks

Im 44 and live in a farming community in Canada and I?ve never seen a tractor like that or of that brand. Like the others are saying I?d be very careful about looking for a hard to find tractor with possibly hard to find parts.

In this link a guy named Keith said he bought one at an auction. I don't see any sort of a date when he posted his question. There does appear to possibly be a way to email him.

I had a UTB 800 never could find another one in the USA,a lot of them in Europe and a company in Greece had parts, traded it for another Fiat/UTB an Oliver 1465 not a whole lot of those around.

I don't see how knowing how many are made helps in finding ONE. now if you needed say 500 of them it would perhaps be helpful.

Well, we have a Long 2610 on our farm and it has been a wonderful tractor. Its been very reliable, good on fuel and has over 6000 hours. If I could find a 2710, that would be great, if not, not a huge deal. There are other tractors we are looking at, including a Ford 7600 right up the road, but its needs completely rebuilt. I would like to surprise my father with a Long 2710 because he loves the 2610 so much, best tractor he ever bought.

Does your dad specifically want a 2710 instead of a 2610? If not, there is always a chance that he could be disappointed that it is not a 2610 that you know he really likes. You know you dad better than any of us do.

UTB/Universal 703 are rare tractors in Quebec, Canada.

This is one currently for sale here: https://www.lespac.com/sherbrooke/vehicules-machineries-commerciales-agricoles/tracteur-universel-1995_52114022D0.jsa?searchCriteria=L3NlYXJjaC9yZXN1bHRzLmpzYT9sPTEmYT10cmFjdGV1cit1bml2ZXJzZWwmaT0xJmR4PTAmZGg9MCZrPTEmZT00NS42ODMzMyZmPS03Mi41ODMzMyZoPTEmZz0yNTM1NiZqPTA&navigationInfo=YT0wJmI9MyZjPTUyNDc3ODU3UzUyMTE0MDIyUzQ3MzM0NTQxJmQ9MA&requester=SCH
