keep this funny.mom and dad had 2 pieces each, our son had 4 pieces, did he eat twice as much pizza or 4 times as much? i said he ate twice as much as both of us so 4 times as much.what is the answer?

Well, this is pretty complex stuff, I am going to run down to the pizza joint on the corner and ask the guy there.

Meanwhile, a guy went into a pizza place and asked for a medium mushroom pizza. The guy behind the counter asked him if he wanted it cut into six or eight pieces. The fellow answered .... 'Oh just six, I don't think I could eat eight."

yes make 2 cuts to get 4 pieces the stack the four pieces and make your 3rd cut you end up with 8 pieces

I wouldn?t ask the guy at the pizza place.

This is a pizza question.

I would do my own research down at the pizza place......

He ate twice as much assuming the pieces were all the same size. If his slices were only half as big as Mom and Dad's slices then he at the same amount.

Stopped at a small town pizza place while travelling with the family.

Girl at the counter asked if I wanted it cut in 6 or 8 pieces, when I told her I wanted it cut into 7 pieces she looked at me like I was from Mars or something.

I was not trying to confuse her or anything, just wanted 2 pieces each for the wife and I and 1 piece each for the kids with none left over for the kids to fight over in the back seat.

Thought I was going to have to draw a picture for her to understand what I wanted.

Cut it in half then cut one half into 4 pieces and the other half into 3 pieces, it's not rocket science.

So in the end I guess I ate 1/4 of the pizza even though I only got 2/7 of the pieces.

My wife and I ate 1/2 of the pizza but only 4/7 of the pieces.

The kids ate 1/2 of the pizza each getting 1/7 of the pieces but 1/3 of their half.

Starting to understand why I prefer decimals instead of fractions.

Right, because her mind went straight to 7 EQUAL pieces, like any normal human being would. Your way is certainly clever and keeps the peace in the back seat, but you have to admit it is unusual.

...and you let the kids eat hot, fresh (i.e. floppy and drippy with cheese and sauce falling off) pizza in the CAR???

That's why you have vinyl floors in a truck.

The soda pop that gets spilled washes away the sauce and cheese :D

Bob Lurtsema -- "Benchwarmer Bob" -- the former Minnesota Vikings player, was a spokesman for Tombstone frozen pizza. In an ad, he used the 6 versus 8 pieces line!
