Morning 4520. Are you sure that is a Cummins in that truck? If you look under the truck beyond that guy standing by the right door there is a puddle or a shadow! I thing it is a oil puddle. Remember-- A Detroit and a tom cat always leave their scent!---Tee

No puddle under that tractor-you could be right about that engine--855 big cam-twin turbos-turned up to about 800 hp. Case was going to STEAL an idea? Wow--But the best part--NO center post!!!!---Tee

I'm sure every engine manufacturer wants to lay claim to fame. I read the first diesel truck had a Buda diesel. It wasn't factory as I understand. They took the gas engines out of logging trucks and replaced them with Budas.

Under the truck, is that a Tag axle? Wow.big time trucking. Back then with total bs dirt "roads" you could bust up amost anything. Think of this, if you run out of Diesel you could always use soy bean oil or some such.

Cummins put the first engine in a truck and ran it cross country to show how it compared to the gas engine

Ran outa fuel in my truck I had 2.5 gallon of hydraulic oil with me dumped it in and drove to the gas station expensive fuel but it would have been a 20 mile walk to get cell phone service
