Case chrome--Loren

My Son went to the antique pull in Missouri over the weekend and the guy I bought my 9 bolt weld on plates talked to him and knew we had a Case offered these chrome metal Case emblems to him. Son brought them home and gave them to me! They are all heavy metal--The round ones are obvious--steering wheel centers--Abe-? off the front of what tractor? The Case ones--my favorite--off of what--I have no idea. They are all in real good shape. Can you help? When I get my 500 painted I will put the Case ones on the side of the hood I think.-THANKS---Tee

The "CASE" chrome nameplates were used on the 00B series (1958-1959). Example 700B, 800B. The nameplates mounted on both sides of the tractor hood . You have got the other 2 emblems figured out. I took some of those to a metal refinished and had them re-chromed. They came out really nice. At one time they could easily be found at salvage yards, but that is no longer true.

I have some of them also. The older CASE emblems for hoods and steering wheel are still reproduced. We have a couple of Case parts suppliers on the Case forum that stock them.

Loren, are the David Brown emblems still available? Most of them are broken out of the hoods but no hood damage. Why?

I think the biggest reason the DB emblems are missing is the type of clips that held them in, and the emblems were pretty brittle, and broke easily.

The hood emblem on the David Brown built Olivers also was a fragile and often lost piece. I made a couple batches of reproduction ones last year.
